Hello MOPS moms,
I recently attended a wonderful conference that affirmed and encouraged moms from ALL walks of life. Check out the web - Sally Clarkson's ministry Whole Heart Ministries. http://www.wholeheart.org/. I would HIGHLY recommend that you attend in 2012! It was certainly worth all the effort it took to get there. I am hoping to go next year with all my mommy friends.
Have a blessed day!

Estate Planning Basics
- Your Kids - Estate planning allows you to choose a guardian who will care for your children in the event you are unable to do so. If you do not choose, a court will make the decision.
- Your Health Care Wishes - An estate plan includes a written statement of your wishes to ensure that your family knows how you want to be treated if you are seriously ill.
- You Sanity - Estate planning is really just organizing. You work hard to care for your family and your future. Simple planning can ensure that your family is able to make the most of your assets.
Not everyone can afford a professional estate plan - but there are still things you can do without spending any money. Organize and prepare a folder with all the essential information. You don't need to have extensive documents in here, just the basics. You can type up your own overview sheet or photocopy the front pages of your documents and include in the folder. Keep the folder in a safe place, where it can be found in case of emergency.
Paperwork to include:
a. Bank accounts - numbers to all accounts and safety deposit boxes.
b. Home - homeowner's insurance, title insurance, deeds.
c. Life insurance - check all beneficiaries and be aware of the terms and conditions.
d. Health care - insurance, directives.
e. Retirement accounts
f. Investments
g. Important or expensive belongings
